Hi there Giavanna!
Thank you so much for your amazing review of our TotPack! We love making things easier for parents, and we're happy to hear that TotPack has eliminated the need for a diaper bag. Thank you for recommending it to others. We truly appreciate your support and hope you continue to enjoy using the TotPack as it is designed for little ones up to 45lbs :)
Happy TotPacking,

I really wanted to not like this or the baby to not like it because it was so expensive, BUT we both love it. It is a huge relief on my back pain from carrying her on my front. It is less dangerous for me to do tasks/chores with her on my back. The only improvement I would like is for the waist belt to have a better connection point to the carrier itself. The S hook style connection slips out often when trying to put the carrier on. If it had some sort of clasp it would be better for me.
Expensive but ultimately worth it! My little guy loves hanging out in the tot pack .. perfect for taking our dog on a walk and for keeping him close while I cook dinner!
A little squeaky but otherwise no complaints!
Love that it's structured for easy wear and placing baby inside. Love that the hip support takes off weight from my already achey shoulders. I do wish the hip attachments were permanent or more secure. It tends to unhook which isn't really a danger to baby but it does put more pressure on shoulder and not using the hip attachments isnt really a solution for me. Otherwise, this is a game changer for me. I'm able to do chores and he loves being close to mom.
Hi April, Sarina here, owner of TotPack. Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your TotPack experience. So happy to hear all the good things you love about it.
The padded hip belt is removable because literally half of our customers DO want the hip belt, and half DO NOT want the hip belt. The option, removable hip belt was the best option for us.
Our next design coming this fall is will have loops a bit tighter so that the belt doesn't unhook so easily. Thank you for the feedback!
Happy TotPacking!

I have a 16 lb 29 inch tall 13 month old who is currently cruising but not walking and she LOVED this. Like, did not want to get out and once out requested to get back in. I was forced to walk her up and down the hallway, which was not quite how I saw this working out. But I found it pretty comfy!
You can adjust the position of the lumbar bar (the screws don't screw; they are spring-loaded so you just pull them out and slide the bar up - the little rubber fillers in the empty holes can be moved to the vacant holes) and also the strap length. Baby can easily reach the bar with her feet on the highest setting and with straps adjusted for me (height 5'5" but long torso). I was surprised at how well the bar worked without the optional belt but for a longer time I did appreciate the belt. Did not find the chest clip particularly helpful so I just left it. Very easy to get her in and out of even on my own and to adjust straps. Even without a high surface, I could lift it and her just like a backpack as long as she was clipped into the seat (I also personally would be fine with her being in it without the safety straps). No issues adjusting the placement of the kick stand while wearing it.
Feedback for the next edition: I do find that if you truly put the lumbar support bar where your lumbar support spot is (like where I'd put a lumbar support pillow), then the poles do kind of dig into your rear because the lumbar spot and your butt is curved and the poles are not. I feel like maybe if the poles were farther apart that might be less of an issue (but then I guess it would depend how wide of a body the wearer has). I guess maybe I'm not 100% sure where exactly the lumbar bar is meant to hit, but it still works and is pretty comfy even if it's positioned lower. Agree with needing the cover to be washable or at least a more practical color than white (!!) and if there is some way to configure a removable UPF50+ sun shade, that would be a great accessory. Optional belt needs to hook into the pack more securely (did have it slip out once) but it's not a huge problem. Would love a built in hook or something to be able to hang it on the wall easily. Baby's legs are not in M position, which I guess can be okay for toddlers, but it does seem like the seat design could easily be altered to adjust this (like just make it wider at the crotch? and/or add some structured padding at the leg openings a la ergobaby carriers?) I also wish the lumbar support bar were more intentionally designed in terms of shape to also serve as a foot rest for baby. All in all, though, there's nothing else like this on the market and I feel it will grow with my kiddo and be uniquely helpful. I hate getting in and out of the soft carriers and this solves that.
Oh my goodness Liz....THANK YOU for your amazing detailed review! Sarina here, owner of TotPack. First things first...and of couse, if it makes BABY HAPPY, mama is happy :). Great to hear the baby approves!
Sunshade:
Our next edition will be dropping this fall and we are very excited to finally have met the challenge of incorporating a sunshade into the design without it creating a lot of fuss and hassle. The sunshade will be an optional accessory so anyone who has a TotPack regardless of what year it was designed will be able to use the sunshade. A sunshade has been our most requested item!
Washable:
When you say 'cover' do you mean the dust bag that comes with the TotPack? Not sure.... but the TotPack dust bag is a solid, plain, neutral cotton canvas, however the dust bag is washable.
But, you could also be referring to the fabric TotPack seat (which does have an off-white pinstripe). While it would be great if the fabric TotPack seat could be removed and washed, the TotPack is 'Certfied for Child Safety' by standards set forth by the American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM). Those standards require that the TotPack seat is permanently attached to the frame.
With the TotPack fabric being 100% cotton, it can be washed, scrubbed and rinse while on the frame and, ideally, set outside to dry - or in a well-ventilated area to air dry. For spot cleaning we highly recommend Branch Basics and to try and stay on top of any stains or spills before they set it.
Hook:
You must be reading our minds. We had a hook for hanging in the design which the factory accidently left off. It will be on our upcoming fall edition.
M Postion:
'The risk of hip dysplasia or dislocation is greatest in utero and in the first few months of life. By six months of age, most babies have nearly doubled in size, the hips are more developed and the ligaments are stronger, so hip dysplasia is not likely to develop in infants after six months of age.' **The TotPack is designed for babies who are at least six months of age.**. However, it is noted that the leg opening have more padding.
Thank you so much for taking your valuable time to share your feedback, Liz! We love hearing how we can make TotPack better!
Happy TotPacking!
